About RISU

The Research and Innovation Support Unit (RISU) is responsible to manage the EU Teaming Project. It supports the management and the Centres/ Units of CMMI in addressing relevant tasks, reports and deliverables, ensuring the prompt and appropriate reporting and reviewing for the project. It provides similar support for other projects undertaken by CMMI’s Centres and scientists.

RISU also supports the activities of CMMI scientists in terms of proposals and publications.  It monitors calls from various funding schemes that could be of interest to CMMI and provides support in the preparation and submission of proposals. Securing external research funding is crucial for CMMI’s sustainability and RISU plays an important part in supporting proposal preparation and submission, while Senior Researchers provide support to Junior Researchers for proposal preparation. RISU has also established the procedure for proposal evaluation/review, contributing to the improvement of the quality of the submitted proposals. Lastly, RISU maintains records of the scientific activity of CMMI, such as scientific publications, proposals submitted as well as lectures, seminars and conferences attended.
