About KInEC
KInEC is the knowledge and technology transfer organisation of CMMI. It is a one stop shop for all intellectual property and commercialisation related matters of the Institute as well as for third parties. KInEC plays a central role in creating research outcomes that can be commercialised. It works closely with the Business Development Unit of CMMI to develop and exploit relationships with a wide network of stakeholders. KInEC provides the following services to CMMI, its Centres, and third parties:
- Technology transfer services
- IP protection and management services
- Support for researchers in disclosing their inventions
- Development of a culture that supports and encourages the creation of spinoffs
- Spin-off and startup support
- Knowledge management
- Economic and marketplace analyses
- Industry partnerships and network creation
