Gotelenne Piaton is the Teaming Project Manager and Head of the Research & Innovation Research Unit (RISU).  An open-minded thinker with a can-do attitude, Gotelenne brings 12+ year-experience attained from working in demanding international environments in Paris, Brussels, and Nicosia in the areas of R&D, public diplomacy, international development, and communication.

Gotelenne holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Institute of Political Studies of Lille, France, a Master’s degree in International Communication Strategies from the University of Dijon, France and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, United States since 2016.

Prior to joining CMMI, she held the positions of R&D Programme & Communication Manager at eBOS Technologies, Nicosia, where she managed virtual pan-European teams in the framework of research and innovation proposals and projects funded mostly by the European Union, and of Business Consultant and Quality Manager at Axiom Consulting, in Nicosia. From 2009 to 2011, she worked at the Permanent Representation of France to the EU where she was in charge of relations with EU think tanks and research centres. In 2008, she worked as Internal Communications Executive for the industrial Group Thales in Paris. During her studies, she interned for the United Nations Development Programme and the European Commission in Cyprus.

With a focused approach to any challenge, she enjoys uncovering, seizing but also creating R&D and business opportunities, as well as making a difference by delivering quality projects on time and within budget. Despite the technical nature of her job, the variety of stakeholders and ever-shifting priorities, she insists on keeping it ‘H2H’, human-to-human.

Apart from her native French, Gotelenne fluently speaks English. She also understands and can communicate in Greek and Turkish.
