After obtaining an MSc in Underwater Science and Technology at Salford University, Theo worked for Shell for 35 years in a variety of roles in Underwater Project Engineering & Pipelines such as Brent in the North Sea, E11 gas in Malaysia, Deepwater Project Interface Management such as Bonga in USA and Nigeria. Theo pioneered the development of many of the Subsea construction tools, Hyperbaric welding, non-metallic pipelines in Oman and plastic coated (SCR) Steel Catenary Risers in the USA and Nigeria. He installed the first artificial reefs using retired oil structures in Borneo in cooperation with Malaysian authorities, local fishermen and diving clubs.

After retiring from Shell, Theo has been consulting as Advisor to the President of Cyprus when the Aphrodite field was discovered, Engineering Manager for Worley Parsons in Malaysia,Principal Engineering consultant for Shell Gabon, UK embassy in Bolivia, Internship hydrogen ship in Norway and Gracefield Artificial Island smart city development in Nigeria.

Theo championed community training & local content issues, lectured at the University of Sultan Qaboos in Oman, Curtin University in Malaysia and the University of Nicosia. He was elected as Chairman of the Greek Communities in Lagos and Great Yarmouth. He is a Chartered Engineer, CEng. Fellow of IMechE and fellow of IMarEST.
