Dr. Tasos Kounoudes holds a PhD in Signal Processing and Telecommunications from Imperial College, UK and an M.Eng. in Computer Engineering and Informatics from University of Patras, Greece.
He is the co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of SignalGeneriX, a leading Cypriot technology company which focuses on the design and development of innovative technologies and high-end electronics systems for a wide range of Industries. He has more than twenty years of industrial experience in the development of innovative products and extensive experience in developing and implementing multimillion euro R&D projects at a European and National level.
He is actively participating on the board of directors of various National and European bodies in his field of expertise promoting industrial innovation. He is currently a member of the executive board of the European Association of Research Technology Organisations (EARTO) and vice president of the Cyprus Association of Research & Innovation Enterprises (CARIE). For his contribution to Research and Technology he received the prestigious Manolis Christofides’ Award for scientific excellence, the Cyprus Quality Leader Award, the Cyprus Innovation award, and also named as National Champion in Innovation & Entrepreneurship by the European Business Awards. Under his capacity of CEO at SignalGeneriX he led various projects which received international recognition including the European Satellite Navigation Award (ESNC) and the prestigious Lloyds List Global Innovation Award.
Dr. Kounoudes is the author of three International patents and the author/co-author of more than sixty scientific publications including book chapters, peered reviewed journal papers and international conference papers in his domain of expertise.
