Sofia Damianou received her M.Sc. Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in February 2023 and joined the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute as a full-time Assistant Scientist in March 2023.
The subject of her diploma thesis was the study of ship stability using the energy method. Also, during her studies, she has participated in various projects including the calculation of air pollution caused by a specific bulk-carrier through the Simulation Software MATLAB/Simulink and the redesign of a containership bridge by applying human-centered design characteristics related to the task of navigation in congested waters.
