Pavlos Solomou is Research Support Officer at the Research & Innovation Research Unit (RISU). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from University of Cyprus and a master’s degree in Management from University of Leeds.
Pavlos has experience in Compliance and Business operations sectors. He began gaining his experience in these sectors by working for a private company in Cyprus as a Business Operations and Development officer. He was responsible for the operations of the money transfer services department and had duties as an assistance compliance officer at the company. He continued his career in the compliance sector by working as an AML officer for an accounting firm based in Larnaca.
Among his professional duties were the drafting of policies and procedures, performing client risk assessments, drafting of business development plans and providing training related to compliance matters.
