Myrsini is an Oceanographer-Environmentalist and Marine Biologist with great interests in Oceanography, Marine Biology, Coral Reef Ecology, Marine Biodiversity, Molecular Biology, Water Quality, and Microplastic Pollution. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of the Aegean, Greece, receiving a BSc in Oceanography and Marine Biosciences and she holds a MSc in Freshwater and Marine Biology from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During her academic career, Myrsini has worked on different projects related to Marine Biology, Wastewater Reuse, and Microplastic Pollution in various institutions across Europe and the Caribbean. She is also very experienced in scientific diving and various laboratory techniques. Currently, Myrsini is employed by the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute and contributes to the Marine Observation Centre and the Marine and Coastal Ecosystems Centre.
