Marina Polykarpou graduated as a Computer Scientist from the University of Sheffield. She received her postgraduate education in Data Science, also at the University of Sheffield. She completed both courses with First Class Performance and was awarded the Academic Achievement Scholarship.
Currently, Marina is employed by the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute and contributes to the Maritime Cognitive Decision Support System (MARI-Sense) Project and the Open Sea Aquaculture in the Eastern Mediterranean Project.
