Konstantinos Smagas is a senior project manager and researcher for GeoImaging Ltd, a geomatics and surveying engineering SME, based in Nicosia, Cyprus. He holds a BSc degree in European Economic & Political Studies from the University of Macedonia, Greece, an MSc in Public Administration from Leiden University in the Netherlands and an Executive MBA from the University of Macedonia, Greece.
He has been involved as a coordinator or project team member in several international research and innovation projects including 15 Horizon 2020 and FP7s, 3 EUREKA-EUROSTARS, 3 Ambient Assisted Living (AAL), Life Long learning Programs and Erasmus+.
He is an expert in funding consulting, concept development and proposal writing as well conducting grant negotiations and liaison management with institutional funders. He has received training in business planning and market analysis, financial & administrative management for European funded projects, as well as special training in science communication.
