Chrysanthos Chrysanthou is Technical Director at Celestyal Cruises. After graduating from Newcastle University in 1999, Chrysanthos Chrysanthou (BEng, MPhil) joined Louis Cruises in 1999.
He started his career at Louis working at sea, as an Engine Officer and then moved to the Technical Department ashore, where he has held various Managerial positions for more than a decade, including the position of Technical Superintendent and Fleet Manager. From 2011 onwards, he has been appointed Technical Director. Apart from technical management, part of his responsibilities include the implementation of fuel-efficient practices to improve the environmental performance/compliance of vessels, organising annual in-house training programs for Ship’s personnel, R&D etc.
Mr Chrysanthou is a member of the Eastern Mediterranean Maritime Institute and a member of the Technical and Environmental Committee of Hellenic Lloyds, RINA, BV and DNVGL, the Technical Chamber in Cyprus, etc. Chrysanthos has been very active in the area of Energy Efficiency, Environmental regulations, Passenger Safety etc and has attended a number of conferences in recent years, delivering presentations on energy efficiency, fuel management initiatives and human element factors.
