Dr. Tasos Hovardas has a Degree in Biology, a MSc In Environmental Biology and a PhD in Environmental Sociology/Environmental Education. He has worked in 26 research projects and he received two grants for postdoctoral research and another two grants as Principal Investigator. He (co)authored 40 papers in citation index journals, 16 book chapters, and numerous papers in international conferences. Tasos served as Editor-in-Chief for Society & Natural Resources (2017-2020) and as Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Research in Science Teaching (2017-2020). He reviewed papers for 30 citation journals. He is currently a Council Member of the International Association for Society and Natural Resources (IASNR) and he coordinates the Special Interest Group (SIG) of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction on inquiry learning (EARLI; 2021-2023). He is a Registered Mediator (Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry; 2019-). He served as Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Cyprus, European University Cyprus, University of Thessaly, and the Ionian University. He is a Member of the Research in Science and Technology Education Group at the University of Cyprus and a Senior Associate Scientist at the Maritime Human Element Centre of the Cyprus Marine & Maritime Institute.
